Apple Watch - First Thoughts
So I recived my apple watch, yesterday. I was one of the lucky few who were chosen as part of the random group of registered developers to receive the watch within a week of release. Their hope is that I will be able to test my watch apps on an actual Apple Watch as opposed to the insufficent simulator which comes with XCode, Apple’s environment for Mac and iOS development. So what are my initial thoughts?

Does the Average Person Swallow 8 Spiders per Year?
I've heard people say that the average person swallows 8 spiders per year. Well there's actually no proof of it. CGPGrey shows how this "myth" is a great illustration of why the internet may not make a great source of information sometimes.
PS: Here is a link to the 10 misconceptions video he is referencing.

It took a team of us but we have created a site which is very visually appealing. If you have moment go over and check it out. I hope this web site will be able to reach out to those in need.

An AI that plays classic video games
They have finally gone and done it. The robots have taken over. At least when it comes to video games. Ars Technica has an article about a project presented at SigBovik 2013 by Tom Murphy. He's basically created a program that can play Super Mario Bros pretty successfully as well as other classic side-scrollers.

Google Reader is Dead
As part of some restructuring google has officially announced that Google Reader will be terminated on July 1st. I don't use Google Reader as much as I use to since I am trying to trim my information diet (and I find the combination of Google Reader and Instapaper brings about bad habits).
